Check Discovery to make sure there is not an account already created for the parent.
If there is already an account set up, remind them of their user name and if they cannot remember their password they can 1) reset it from the login screen, 2) have the school's STS/LMETS reset it using the helpdesk website, 3) Information Systems (385-646-4524 or 385-646-5000) can help them create a new one.
If they do not have an account created, they can go to graniteschools.org, look for Parent & Employee Portal on the right side of the page, and enter some basic information to create their account.

The following must match Discovery exactly:
Contact's First Name
Contact's Last Name
Contact's e-mail address
Student's Date of Birth
Student ID number
Make sure the first and last names are not transposed.
Passwords cannot contain contact's names or student number, and must follow the District's length and complexity policies.
Once the account is submitted for creation, the parent/contact has to activate via their e-mail. If this does not work, call Discovery-Help at 385-646-2500.
